How Fabric Width and Cut Length Work
Width is different from cut length
Fabric width is the fixed side of the material roll. Cut length is the amount ordered along the roll, such as 1/2 yard or 1 yard.
Continuous yardage
When stock allows, multiple yards are prepared as one continuous uncut piece. This helps when cutting large panels or matching patterns.
Planning tip
- Confirm width before calculating project panels.
- Order extra for pattern matching and mistakes.
